Day Two: Tissue Paper Flowers

Materials:    Various colors of tissue paper  $1.00
                   Green "coat-hanger" wire   $2.19

Steps:  #1- Have many selections of colors for the children to pick from
            #2- Let each child get about 5-7 pieces of tissue paper
            #3- Make sure was sheet is layers on top of each other perfectly straight corner to corner
            #4- Fold the stack of tissue paper into an accordion style with each fold being about 1'' wide
            #5- Fold the accordion stack in half from end to end
            #6- Place the green wire half way through the main crease of the middle fold
            #7- Take the two equal ends of the wire and twist them around each other to secure the tissue paper in the middle and to make a sturdy stem of the flower
            #8- Carefully separate the tissue paper sheets and fluff them out to make the flower affect
